Rock Starters 1:4 Aimed at the complete beginner this one day ‘taster’ session will get you competent with harnesses, helmets and tying into a rope. The emphasis will be on having fun and climbing some easy rock routes in a single pitch environment. Course dates 2011 dates coming soon Arrival Time 0830 Base location The location of the days climbing will be decided nearer to the course start date. This is to enable the best chance of climbing in good weather. Popular locations include Glen Clova, Tulliment and Kingussie. Full details will be sent out with confirmation of your booking. Previous experience The Scottish hills can be a harsh environment so please come prepared to be climbing in typical Scottish weather. No prior rope or rock climbing experience is necessary, this day will start right at the basics. Cost Includes The course fee includes instruction and technical equipment. It does not include accommodation; guests can then make their own arrangements depending on personnel budget. We have limited amounts of harnesses and helmets available so please get in touch if you wish to hire anything well in advance of your course date. Rock Improvers 1:2 Our three day rock improver’s course is based on a 1:2 ratio; this will allow instruction to be delivered on a more personnel level.
